Internship Program

University ICT Services (UIS) Internship and Practical Learning Opportunities

University ICT Services (UIS) is dedicated to advancing UCU’s academic and research mission while fostering the growth of aspiring professionals. Through a variety of programs, including Industrial Training and the Graduate Internship Program (GIP), UIS offers students and graduates opportunities to gain practical experience in specialized fields such as:

  • Software Development
  • Systems Administration
  • Network Engineering
  • Cloud Computing
  • Cybersecurity
  • Big Data Analytics
  • Service Management

These programs are designed to provide participants with:

  • Hands-On Experience: Work on real-world projects in professional settings.
  • Career Development: Understand workplace expectations, develop critical skills, and explore diverse career options by bridging theory with practice.
  • Professional Networking: Build valuable connections with industry professionals and peers.

UIS internships not only enhance academic learning but also serve as pivotal stepping stones toward future employment opportunities. To support UCU students in fulfilling their Industrial Training requirements before graduation, UIS prioritizes providing these opportunities to them. Whenever possible, UCU students will be given preference over external candidates.

Internship Framework

UIS internships follow these structured principles:

  • Supervision: Each intern is assigned an ICT supervisor to provide guidance and oversight throughout the program.
  • Learning Objectives: Internships include clearly defined objectives supported by structured reflection and critical analysis.
  • Active Engagement: Interns actively participate in problem-solving, research, experimentation, and taking responsibility for tasks, fostering creativity and innovation.
