The University ICT Services (UIS) Directorate spent the day giving back to the community through a heartwarming Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity at Bless a Child Foundation, located in Kampala City.

This outreach, which happens twice a year, is part of UCU’s commitment to transforming lives in the Community.

Bless a Child Foundation was established to bridge the critical gap in access to medical care and psychosocial support for pediatric cancer patients.

Since its inception, the foundation has touched thousands of lives in Uganda and Kenya, offering not only treatment support but also a home-away-from-home for families who travel long distances in search of medical care for their children.

These homes provide comfort, food, and emotional support during the children’s recovery journey.

Led by the Director, Rebecca Kangabe, the UIS team donated an assortment of essential items including food supplies and other day-to-day necessities. The gesture brought visible joy to the children, caregivers, and staff of the foundation.
