At Uganda Christian University (UCU), the Directorate of University ICT Services (UIS) recognises that excellence extends beyond the realm of technology and service delivery. Every year, the Directorate carries out a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity, intentionally reaching out to communities with diverse needs. This tradition reflects not only the technical expertise within UIS but also its commitment to values of service, compassion, and social impact.

What makes this initiative remarkable is the way it is sustained. Rather than depending on external funding, the CSR program is powered by monthly contributions from staff within the Directorate. Each member gives willingly, with the shared conviction that even small contributions can add up to significant change. This effort is guided by the leadership and vision of the Director of UIS, Ms. Rebecca Kangabe, whose encouragement and direction have kept the initiative alive and growing.
